"Return of a Hundred Birds" Art Installation: A Symphony of Nature and Technology
In the grand atrium of the LESSO Liansu Headquarters Experience Hall, the awe-inspiring art installation Return of a Hundred Birds soars through the air. Spanning an impressive 15 meters in height, 35 meters in length, and 7 meters in width, the piece masterfully interacts with the space’s dual-level architecture—20-meter-high ceilings and 6-meter-low sections. Eighty-six birds (ranging from 380mm to 1100mm) of varying postures—elegant egrets, soaring cranes, and agile swallows—descend like a cascading galaxy from the dome, ultimately gathering in luminous nests that symbolize home.

Crafted through 3D printing and finished in mirror-like chrome plating, the birds perch upon sleek silver cloud-shaped brackets, creating an ethereal interplay of light and reflection. Two stainless steel nests, measuring 2.1 meters and 1.5 meters in diameter, are embedded with glowing acrylic panels and programmable LED lighting systems that pulse with a breathing rhythm, mimicking the vitality of life. When activated, the entire flock seems to come alive—metallic wings shimmer with flowing light, while the nests glow with a heartbeat-like warmth, transforming cutting-edge technology into an amplifier of natural beauty. This design not only embodies the corporate ethos of unity and symbiosis but also reimagines the traditional Eastern motif of "birds returning at dusk" through a futuristic lens.

Through this grand homecoming spectacle, the artist conveys profound reflections: the birds’ attachment to their nests speaks to all beings’ eternal search for belonging, while the harmonious coexistence of different species pays silent tribute to ecological balance. As the stainless steel clouds and acrylic nests dissolve the boundary between artifice and nature in the play of light, the work subtly poses a pressing question of our time—in an era of relentless technological advancement, we must preserve, with reverence, the sanctuary that allows all life to return home.
