The Pullman Shenzhen Hotel, which opened in the golden autumn of 2022, redefines spatial aesthetics with stunning visual art installations. The two sets of giant crystal art installations in its open lobby, with their precise craftsmanship and innovative design, have become exemplary works of contemporary hotel art engineering.
This art installation consists of a total of 4,872 custom crystal units. Among them, 728 crystal prisms with gradient coating process form a golden ratio of 15% to 85% with 4,144 ultra-white crystal modules. When natural light penetrates the double-layer curtain wall and is refracted at precisely calculated angles, it projects a dynamic spectrum in the 12-meter-high space. At dawn and dusk, one can also witness the spectacular sight of a seven-colored light halo flowing on the mirror ceiling.
As the first large-scale hotel installation in the Asia-Pacific region to apply holographic refraction technology, this project not only breaks through the boundaries of traditional decorative arts but also pioneers a new paradigm of architectural optical interaction. Today, these two groups of crystal matrices, weighing a total of 3.6 tons, have become emerging artistic landmarks in Pengcheng, interpreting the perfect integration of luxurious hotel space and cutting-edge art and technology.
